Scattered Tribes: Healing Through Kinship
Reconnecting with country, story and each other is at the heart of the healing process embedded
in this project. My role as a photographer was to document the making of two possum skin cloaks,
over a period of fifteen weeks, and to produce a series of portraits in collaboration with local community members.
The final exhibition also presented works by Bardi/Jawi and Karajarri woman and internationally renowned artist
Ngardarb Francine Riches, and the launch of two new, community owned possum skin cloaks
